Alternate Rules Interpretation Meetings

All members must attend a NYS rules interpretation meeting. If you are unable to make our meeting on 10/14, below is a list of other meeting times and locations for neighboring boards. Check back often as this list will be updated with other section’s information. You can also check NYSGBOA.com for information. It is your responsibility to check in with the host secretary to ensure they take your name and board affiliation so they can pass that information along to our secretary.

About the

The WPWBOA, a member board of the NYSGBOA, services NYS Section 1 women's high school basketball.  The WPWBOA is dedicated to the education, training and continuous development of its members, while promoting fair play and good sportsmanship. NYS women's high school basketball operates under NCAA Women's Basketball Rules and Points of Emphasis.  In addition, the NYSPHSAA contributes to the rules and regulations that govern Section 1 athletics.

 The WPWBOA is dedicated and strives to:

  • Educate, train, develop and provide continuous instruction to women's basketball officials

  • Promote the welfare of the game, its players, coaches, fans, schools and officials

  • Maintain the highest standard of women's basketbal officiating

  • Have available at all times an adequate number of certified officials
